This is what it looked like the next day. Warm enough to go to the beach and eat ice cream cones. They boys chased each other from the water to the top of the beach for about 30 minutes.

How much fun can you pack into 1 week? Part C Camping in McCall
We love going to McCall. Ben's mom grew up going to McCall, and Ben grew up gonig to McCall. There is plenty to do all year round. The day after the Fruitland reception, we along with Ben's parents and sister's family headed up to the mountains for a little camping and outdoor fun. They boys lOVED it. It did rain on and off all afternoon and was fairly cool compared to what we are used to but it felt great. Here is a picture of us at our campsite, Noah is the photographer.
Trying to stay dry, notice Ben on the computer in the background thanks to his cell card. We were actually trying to figure out the weather. Two of the three tents, the two with the babies I might add, had already started to leak a little so we were trying to decide what to do. More rain was predicted for the middle of the night and nobody wanted to be be up with wet, cold babies at 3am. We tried to priceline a hotel for cheap but no luck so I slept in the Yukon with Winston and Ben's sister Ashley, her husband Tyler and baby Luke slept in the suburban. Grandma, Grandpa, Ben, Noah, Owen and cousin Lydia slept in the dry tent and had a blast. Grandma got them each their own flashlight and they read stories. I was amazed at how the boys entertained themselves with sticks, buckets, pinecones and rocks for hours. It was so fun. Happy as little granola's. We will be taking them camping when it cools off here and the threat of sweating yourself into raisin status overnight is reduced.

The next morning it was still raining. We had planned to sleep in a tent only 1 night. We broke camp then took a drive around Payette lake and then higher in the mountains. Yes, this is hail, it was 35 degrees and there was 1.5 in of hail on the road. It was fun to be cold again. I love McCall. Its a great place to visit.

Noah trying to not show how cold the water is. I told him that this is what water should be like. Cold and clear. Ben and I jumped in and even swam to the bouy you can see in the background. I miss jumping into water so cold it takes your breath away.

On the flight home. Winston is tuckered out from our week of fun and from an hour of screaming on the plane before he finally fell asleep. He doesn't like to be held when he sleeps, good for home, bad for flights. Wish we could have stayed longer, but we had to get home so we could sell our house and buy an new one.

How fun! The boys look so cute and I have no doubt they had a blast. It's amazing how little they need to be entertained and happy when they are in nature--we are firm believers. Tony even bought a tent a few weeks ago! We haven't camped yet but there are tons of great spots not far away as you can imagine. We are supposed to go this weekend, we're watching the weather...
